How NotaryDash Works¶
NotaryDash is an order management platform that connects signing services with certified notary signing agents. Whether you coordinate document signings for a living or you're a notary looking for assignments, this article explains what the platform does and how a typical signing flows from start to finish.
Who Uses NotaryDash¶
Signing services are companies that coordinate document signings on behalf of clients — title companies, escrow companies, and lenders. They use NotaryDash to receive signing orders, find available notaries, and manage the entire process through completion.
Notary signing agents are state-certified individuals who travel to signers, witness document signings, verify signer identity, and apply their notary seal. Notaries use NotaryDash to receive assignment offers and manage their upcoming appointments.
Clients (title companies, escrow officers, lenders) work with signing services to initiate signing requests. The signing service handles everything from there.
The Signing Workflow End to End¶
Here's how a typical order moves through the platform:
-
Order created. A client submits a signing request to the signing service. The order includes the signer's name and contact information, the signing location and date/time, the type of signing, and any documents that need to be signed.
-
Notary search. The signing service searches NotaryDash's network of 280,000+ certified notaries and agents. The platform sends automated emails and SMS messages to available notaries in the area.
-
Notary accepts the assignment. A notary accepts the order and is confirmed for the appointment. Both the signing service and the signer receive updates in real time.
-
Signing appointment. The notary travels to the signer, verifies their identity, witnesses the signing, and applies their notary seal.
-
Scanbacks uploaded (if required). For orders that require it, the notary scans the completed documents and uploads them through NotaryDash before mailing the originals. This step is called scanbacks and is often required before the order can be marked complete.
-
Order closed. Once the signing is complete and all requirements are met, the signing service closes the order.
-
Invoicing. Completed orders are tracked for billing. Signing services are invoiced at $7.50 per closed order, with a minimum of 10 orders per month.
