Navigating the Dashboard

When you log in to NotaryDash, the dashboard is your home base. This article gives a high-level overview of what you'll find there, with separate sections for signing services and notaries since the two dashboards are different.

For Signing Services

Orders List

The main area of your dashboard shows your orders. Each row represents a signing order and displays key details like the signer name, signing date and time, status, and assigned notary. You can click any order to open its full detail view.

Searching and Filtering Orders

You can search for orders by signer name, order number, location, or proximity. Quick filters across the top let you jump to All, Mine, Unfilled, Today, or Tomorrow. The sidebar lets you filter by status: Open, Active, Pending Changes, Appointment Confirmed, Appointment Not Confirmed, Signed, Scanbacks Review, Did Not Sign, Errors Review, On Hold, and Closed.

Creating a New Order

To place a new signing order, look for the New Order or Create Order button near the top of the dashboard. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact button label and location] Clicking it opens the order creation form where you'll enter signing details, signer information, and documents.

Client Management

The client management section lets you view and manage the title companies, escrow companies, or lenders you work with. From here you can add new clients, update client information, and review orders associated with each client. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact menu location]

Reporting

NotaryDash includes reporting tools to help you track order volume and billing. Use the Export Orders button to export order and invoice data — the export is sent to your email in a format compatible with QuickBooks Online.

The main navigation menu gives you access to all sections of the platform. Common areas include orders, clients, notaries, users, and account settings. [NEEDS VERIFICATION: exact menu labels and structure]

For Notaries

Available Assignments

When a signing service sends you an assignment offer, it will appear in your available assignments area. You'll also receive an email and SMS notification. From this section you can review the order details and accept or decline the assignment.

Upcoming Appointments

Once you've accepted assignments, they move to your upcoming appointments list. This shows your confirmed signings with dates, times, locations, and any relevant order details. Use this section to manage your schedule and access signing documents.

Profile and Credentials

Your profile and credentials section is where you manage your public-facing profile information and upload or update your credentials (W-9, E&O insurance, NNA certification, background check, driver's license, and notary commission). Keeping this section current is important for maintaining verified status and receiving assignments.

Notifications and Real-Time Updates

Both signing services and notaries receive real-time updates through the platform. Important activity — like a notary accepting an assignment or an order status change — triggers notifications within the platform and by email or SMS. Check your notification settings if you're not receiving updates as expected.
